TVDSB reports more COVID-19 cases at local schools

The number of active COVID-19 cases at schools under the Thames Valley District School Board (TVDSB) has eclipsed 40.

The TVDSB announced Monday that the Middlesex-London Health Unit confirmed cases COVID-19 at Masonville Public School, Westminster Secondary School, Sir Frederick Banting Secondary School, and Rick Hansen Public School. The number of active cases in TVDSB schools is now 41. A breakdown of confirmed cases can be found by clicking, here.

The local public health unit is investigating both cases in order to identify close contacts. Only those who are contacted directly by health officials will be advised to quarantine for 14 days.

The schools are open.

The Middlesex-London Health Unit confirmed 53 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday as the region entered the Red-Control stage of the province's colour-coded reopening framework.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
