Sarnia-Lambton's COVID-19 case count increased by just six over the past 24 hours but there's been another death.
It's the 36th death locally since the pandemic began, and the 25th at Bluewater Health.
Communications Chief Julia Oosterman said the latest death was a woman from a local retirement home. Lambton Public Health said the person was in the 90-plus age range.
The downward trend in new confirmed cases continued Tuesday with the health unit reporting just six for a total of 1,788. There were 41 more resolved cases bringing that total to 1,629, and the number of active cases dropped to 123 from 159 on Monday.
There are eight positive COVID patients in Sarnia hospital, one in intensive care.
The number of active institutional and workplace outbreaks is unchanged at eight. Four are in long-term care and retirement homes, one at Sarnia Jail, one at Bluewater Health and two in workplaces.
