Woman calls police on herself
A Chatham woman is facing drunk driving-related charges after calling 911 to report a collision.
Shortly before 10 p.m. Thursday, Chatham-Kent police received a call from a driver who said she had just been sideswiped by another vehicle at Tweedsmuir and Queen Street.
However, after investigating police determined that the woman had actually collided with a parking meter in the area of King Street E and William Street.
The 26-year-old was charged with operating while impaired and operating while impaired over 80 as well as failing to remain. She was eventually released with a future court date.

Man arrested after motel robbery
A man will have to answer to multiple charges after allegedly robbing a motel in Chatham.
On March 24, police responded to The Chatham Motel on Grand Avenue E. for a report of a robbery. The suspect fled before officers arrived and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
The man was located on Thursday afternoon and arrested on warrants for robbery, weapons offences and failing to comply.
He was held in custody for a bail hearing.

Women arrested on warrants
A woman has a future court date after getting nabbed by Chatham-Kent police on outstanding warrants.
Around 11:20 p.m. Thursday, police arrested the woman on warrants for theft under $5,000 and possession under $5,000. The warrants stemmed from a theft incident in Chatham the day before.
The 48-year-old was given an April court date and released.
Elsewhere, police arrested a woman in Wallaceburg on outstanding warrants on Thursday morning.
Around 8:48 a.m., police located the 33-year-old Wallaceburg woman and arrested her for operating while impaired.
She was released with a future court date.
