Walk for Alzheimer's raises over $42,000

The totals are in for Chatham-Kent's 2021 virtual IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer's.

Over $42,000 was raised, short of the $50,000 goal, but a 22 per cent increase over last year's total.

Officials with the Alzheimer Society of Chatham-Kent (ASCK) credit the increase to a number of factors, including the introduction of the Forget-Me-Not Scavenger Hunt, which attracted a number of new participants.

ASCK CEO Mary Ellen Parker and board member Robyn Brady both dyed their hair blue after their team, FantASCKtic Crew, raised $17,000.

All of the money raised will help assist over 1,000 clients and care partners that ASCK cares for every year, and will ensure they have access to vital programs and services, like the day program and in-home respite care.
