Breach of curfew leads to drug charges  

A 36-year-old man is facing drug-related charges after he was allegedly found in a resident's backyard on King Street West, while in possession of methamphetamine.

Police say they located the man, who was bound by a daily curfew of 8 p.m. to 7 a.m., around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The man was placed under arrest and taken into custody. As a result, the man was charged with failing to comply with release conditions and drug possession.

He was released pending a future court date of September 23, 2021.

Two drivers charged following collision 

Two drivers have been charged following a collision on Adelaide Street South between King Street and Wellington Street in Chatham.

According to police, the driver at fault was charged with disobeying a stop sign while the other was charged for driving under suspension.

Police said both vehicles were towed from the scene and damage was estimated at $20,000.

No injuries were reported.

Mortar mixer reported stolen from construction site in Chatham 

Police are asking for tips as they investigate a theft at a construction site on Evening Trail in Chatham where someone stole a mortar mixer worth about $5,000.

According to police, a yellow Stone Champion mortar mixer was stolen sometime between Friday and Monday.

Police stop a motorcyclist from driving on sidewalk in Wallaceburg 

An officer with the traffic unit stopped a motorcyclist for driving on the sidewalk along Wallace Street in Wallaceburg on Monday afternoon.

According to police, the driver did not have a proper licence and the plate was not authorized for the motorcycle.

As a result, a 37-year-old Wallaceburg man has been charged with several Highway Traffic Act offences.

Police said the license plate was seized and the motorcycle was towed from the scene.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
