Police recover stolen vehicle from the Niagara area in Wallaceburg
Chatham-Kent police have arrested and charged a 34-year-old Niagara man they allege was in possession of stolen keys at a park in Wallaceburg.
Police say they were called about a suspicious couple in King George Park on Nelson Street around 6 p.m. Tuesday. Police located the pair and learned that the man was wanted by another police service.
The man was arrested on the outstanding warrants and found to be in possession of keys from a stolen vehicle in the Niagara area, which was recently recovered in Wallaceburg.
The man was charged with being in possession of property obtained by a crime under $5, 000.
He is being held in custody.—–
Man arrested following break and enter in Tilbury
A 46-year-old man has been arrested following a break and enter at a Tilbury residence.
Police say the homeowner called police about a man in the backyard trying to enter the garage. When officers arrived police say the man ran from the scene, but after a short chase, the man was taken into custody.
The man was charged with break and enter and released pending a future court date on September 7.

Suspect sought after break and enter at a Chatham garden centreChatham-Kent police are investigating a break and enter at DeGoey’s Nursery and Flowers Garden Center on St. Clair Street.
Police say unknown suspects forced their way into the garden centre sometime between Monday and Tuesday.
Police continue to work with the business to determine what was damaged or stolen.
