Pair of break and enters in Wallaceburg
Chatham-Kent police are investigating after two separate break and enters in Wallaceburg over the past 24 hours.
On Thursday morning, officers were first called to James Street. According to police, sometime overnight an unknown suspect or suspects gained entry to the Wallaceburg Library and rummaged through the desk.
As a result, approximately $500 in damage was done to the window.
Around 5 a.m. Friday, police were dispatched to Dufferin Avenue for reports of a break in at the Petro Canada.
According to police, staff arrived at the location on Friday morning and found that the front door had been broken.
Investigation revealed that a tray of Red Bull energy drinks had been stolen.
Anyone with information on either incident is asked to call Chatham-Kent police or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
Multiple collision across CK
Chatham-Kent police were kept busy on Thursday with multiple different collisions throughout the municipality.
According to police, officers responded to a total of five motor vehicle collisions on Thursday.
According to police, two of the collisions involved vehicles hitting deer on the roadway.
Out of the other three other collisions, one was on private property and one driver was charged with carless driving.
