Youth arrested twice in the same day
A 15-year-old boy is facing several charges after he was allegedly caught breaching his release conditions and then did some damage with a hockey stick.
Chatham-Kent police said they found a cell phone in the teen's possession Wednesday morning when they were checking on him at his residence in Dover Township even though he had been ordered by the court not to have one. He was arrested and charged as a result.
Police said the teen also allegedly damaged his home with a hockey stick Wednesday afternoon shortly after he was released from custody. He also allegedly damaged a vehicle that was parked outside.
Officers showed up again and arrested him for a second time.
This time, he was charged with mischief and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
The youth was released again pending a future court date.

Pickup truck reported stolen in Tilbury
Chatham-Kent police are trying to track down a 2020 black Ford F-150 Lariat pickup truck that was reported stolen from Tilbury Chrysler.
Officers said it was taken from the business on Mill Street West sometime over the past weekend and was last seen with a plate attached to the front of it indicating that it was a 2020 model.

Break and enter in Chatham
Chatham-Kent police are still trying to determine whether anything was stolen after someone broke into the storage room of an apartment building on Witherspoon Street in Chatham.
Police said someone forced their way into the room sometime between 1 a.m. and 3 a.m. Wednesday morning.
Officers are still working with the building manager to determine what, if anything, was taken.
