Windsor and Chatham are unlikely to have a white Christmas this year, but London has a better chance.
Environment Canada meteorologist Peter Kimbell said the odds are a little better than 50 per cent.
Over the next week, Environment Canada is forecasting some snow on Saturday throughout southwestern Ontario.
"No big storm, even the snow on Saturday won't be a lot and no big storm forecasted between the weekend and Christmas Day on the 25th," said Kimbell.
With temperatures above freezing forecasted for most of the week in Windsor-Essex, any snow the region gets on Saturday is not likely to stick around for the week.
Temperatures in London could be a bit cooler and Kimbell puts London's chances of a white Christmas at about 50 per cent.
"It may stick around because temperatures will be a little bit colder there and they will have a bit of flurry activity as well on Sunday, so I would say there's a better than 50 per cent chance that it will be a white Christmas for people in London and Middlesex County," said Kimbell.
