A local power company is giving back to charities across Southwestern Ontario.
Entegrus announced yesterday that they are donating $200,000 to Indwell, an organization that provides supportive, affordable housing.
The money will be used by the group to help redevelop the former St. Agnes school in Chatham, which will eventually support 35-45 residents.
Entegrus is also donating $58,000 to organizations in St. Thomas, including the Seniors Center, Downtown Development Board and the St. Thomas Economic Development Corporation.
Some money is also going to the Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital Foundation and the Four Counties Health Services Foundation in Newbury.
"We work with our shareholders and community partners to determine where our support can provide the most impact," said Jim Hogan, President and CEO of Entegrus. "We are proud to be able to provide funds that will help support the housing shortages we see firsthand in our communities."
In total $265,000 was donated by Entegrus this holiday season, and throughout 2021, the company has donated over $445,000 to various charities.
