Two years after the COVID-19 pandemic started, the Chatham-Kent Public Health Unit will be offering its final mass vaccination clinics over the next week.
In February, Chatham-Kent's initial mass vaccination clinic moved from the John D. Bradley Centre in Chatham to the former YA Canada building at 730 Richmond Street.
Now, the health unit is preparing to close the Richmond Street location. The health unit will host its final mass vaccination clinics on the following dates:
- Wednesday, May 25 from 1:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. - Saturday, May 28 from 9 a.m. - noon - Tuesday, May 31 from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.
Going forward, residents are being encouraged to book their COVID-19 vaccine through their local pharmacy.
“Most pharmacies book appointments ahead of time and some allow walk-ins, as well,” said Manager with CK Public Health Alyssa Bunning. “It’s a very convenient option for our local residents and one we encourage using.”

Additionally, the local health unit will continue to offer various pop-up clinics across Chatham-Kent.
The following pop-up clinics are currently scheduled and walk-ins are welcome:
- Chatham Active Lifestyle Centre – 20 Merritt Ave., Chatham on Friday, June 3 from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.
- Salvation Army - 46 Orangewood Blvd., Chatham on Monday, June 6 from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
