A young girl from Chatham will be showing off her horse-riding skills to hundreds for the next three weeks in Toronto.
Pippa James, 10, is the youngest member of the Tilbury-based group Off Kilter Equine Entertainment.
She will be joining her team Friday as part of Horsecapades, a live show being held at the Canadian National Exhibition Centre.
The free show, which runs daily until August 18, includes drill riding, trick riding, and trick roping.
"It feels really good to go," said James. "We've been practicing this for at least three years now."
This is not her first time performing, either.
According to James, she has performed in Essex, Wheatley, and at the Woodslee 2022 Canada Day festival.
While in Toronto, she will be playing the role of Pixie, who enjoys a lot of interaction with the show’s narrator. She will be dressed as a fairy with wings for the show while the horses will be dressed as unicorns.
"Pippa started her horse adventures at the ripe age of three," read her biography on the Off Kilter website. "Riding Milkah, Midnight, and Aramis, Pippa has grown into quite the horse girl. She loves speed and has dabbled with a few tricks on her favourite trick-riding horse."
Off Kilter will be performing twice daily during their time in Toronto, with shows scheduled for 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.
