CK United Way CEO resigns for personal reasons

The search is underway for a permanent Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at the United Way of Chatham-Kent after the current CEO resigned on Friday for personal reasons.

Maureen Geddes, who is on the United Way of Chatham-Kent Board of Directors, told CK News Today Barbara Palace resigned from her position as CEO for personal reasons, but can't disclose any more details to respect Palace's privacy.

The change takes effect immediately and an interim CEO will be announced in a couple of weeks, according to Geddes.

It's unknown how long the search for a new CEO will take.

"We thank Barb for her hard work and caring, and wish her every success in all her future plans and endeavors," said a statement from the United Way of Chatham-Kent.
