Youth arrested following weapon complaint
Chatham-Kent police have arrested a teenager following a weapons complaint.
Just before 9 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to a Chatham address after a pedestrian saw a person there with a suspected gun.
Police identified a 15-year-old as the suspect.
The youth faces charges of breaching a weapons prohibition order and possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
The situation was resolved without incident and police believe there is no threat to public safety.
Man arrested after breaching multiple probation orders
Just before 12:30 p.m. on Friday, police responded to a disturbance at a Chatham home.
According to police, a 28-year-old man went to a residence and proceeded to yell and bang on the doors and windows for some time, before he ran off.
The Chatham native is currently under six probation orders to stay away from the address in question.
Officers found the man a short distance away and he was arrested.
He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Windsor man wanted on outstanding warrants arrested
A Chatham-Kent police officer located and arrested a wanted person on Friday.
At around 3 p.m., while on general patrol, an officer spotted a 25-year-old Windsor man wanted by CK police for failing to attend court and surety relief.
Following his arrest, police said the man was found to have two outstanding warrants, in relation to six criminal offences, with the Lasalle Police Service.
