Man faces charges after truck hit by train
A Port Lambton man will be charged under the Railway Safety Act.
Chatham-Kent police were called just before 1 a.m. on Saturday for reports of a vehicle being struck by a train on Base Line Road in Thamesville.
According to police, the back end of the truck was hit by the train and pushed off to the side.
A 29-year-old man was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Police used a drone to ensure no one else was injured.

Issue between neighbours leads to charges
Chatham-Kent police were called to separate neighbours three times on the same day.
A 28-year-old man was advised to stay away from his neighbour's address, but when he refused to listen he was arrested for criminal harassment, police said.
The man was released from police custody with conditions to stay away from his neighbours and their home and a future court date.

Wallaceburg man charged with impaired driving
A 55-year-old man was charged with impaired driving over the weekend.
Police were unable to locate a vehicle following reports that it was being driven erratically when leaving a store on Dufferin Avenue in Wallaceburg.
Through investigation, officers determined the address of the vehicle's registered owner. When they went to the address police said they saw the vehicle in question pull into a driveway nearby.
"The driver was found to be under the influence of alcohol and placed under arrest," police said.
The Wallaceburg man's license has been suspended and his vehicle was impounded.

Breach of curfew results in arrest
A 23-year-old Chatham man facing previous charges had curfew conditions attached to his release from police custody.
In the hours between Friday and Saturday, police found the man on Balmoral Avenue in Chatham breaching his curfew.
The man was arrested and held at police headquarters pending bail.
