The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is recalling mini patisseries for possible salmonella contamination.
The only brand impacted is Sweet Cream.
The first is under 4 kg packages with best before dates between June 17, 2025, and November 15, 2025. The other packages are under 1 kg in size with similar best before dates.
Food contaminated with salmonella can cause young children, pregnant women, the elderly, and people with weakened immune systems to contract serious and sometimes deadly infections.
Healthy people can experience short-term symptoms such as fever, headache, vomiting, nausea, abdominal cramps, and diarrhea. Long-term complications can include severe arthritis.
Anyone who may have eaten the possibly contaminated patisseries should contact their local health care provider.
People who still have them can either throw them away or return them to the location they bought them from.
