A familiar face in Chatham-Kent is joining the team at the local hospital's Emergency Department.
The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA) said Dr. Jackson Blonde, who was born and raised in Chatham-Kent, is joining the hospital's Emergency Department after recently completing a fellowship at the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry in London.
Dr. Blonde said it is an "incredible privilege" to serve the community that invested in him.
“I have always felt welcomed and respected by the staff and patients in Chatham-Kent," said Dr. Blonde in a release from the CKHA. "I’m especially grateful for the opportunities CKHA has already provided me throughout my training, and I look forward to contributing to the high-quality, compassionate care that CKHA continually strives for."
Dr. Blonde graduated from Ursuline College Chatham before attending Western University in London and then going on to complete his Doctor of Medicine at Western’s Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry -- also in London.
During his medical school training, Dr. Blonde completed clinical rotations across several communities including London, Windsor, Chatham, Strathroy, Goderich, and Walkerton.
He also spent two years at the CKHA in the Family Medicine Residency program.
