The Alzheimer Society of Chatham-Kent (ASCK) has announced the return of a contest to help combat the stigma surrounding the disease.
Throughout September, World Alzheimer's Month, residents across Chatham-Kent (CK) are encouraged to light up their homes in blue.
"Whether it’s a porch light, a window display, or your entire building façade, your blue light sends a powerful message: we stand together," read a press release from the ASCK.
Anyone who takes part can win a $200 VISA gift card.
People can enter the contest by posting a picture on Facebook or Instagram and tagging ASCK, emailing a photo with their first and last name to joel@justasck.ca, or by making a donation to ASCK. Donations can be made online, by calling 519-352-1043, or in person at the ASCK's office.
The contest will run until September 26. The winners will be announced on September 29.
