The Essex 73s expect tonight's game against the Wheatley Sharks to be a tight defensive matchup. Essex 73 head coach Gil Langlois says he's anxious to see how the team reacts after Friday's loss. "This is a rebound game for us, it's at home. Wheatley is always a tough game for us, no matter where we're playing, but especially at home," says Langlois. "There's a nice rivalry between the two centres so I expect a big game and I'm anxious to see how we respond to that." The Essex 73s are number one in the league, but Langlois says that doesn't mean the team will ease up. "The league is so close this year that any team can beat anybody on any given night if you're not ready to play," says Langlois. "I think the balance in the league this year is stronger than it's ever been and you can't take any competitor for granted. Certainly not Wheatley, they're well-coached and they always get up for our games as we do for them." The Wheatley Sharks face off against the Essex 73s tonight at the Essex Centre Sports Complex. Puck drops at 7pm.
