The Chatham Maroons have announced their team awards following the 2019-2020 season.
The team's Most Valuable Player (MVP) for the regular season was alternate captain Kyle Fisher, who finished with 13 goals and 37 assists for 50 points through 50 games. Fisher also put up five points for the Maroons through seven games in the playoffs and is eligible to return for one more year in the GOJHL.
The team's playoff MVP was captain Dallas Maurovic. He finished the playoffs with 10 points through seven games (five goals and five assists) and racked up 51 points through 39 games in the regular season (26 goals and 25 assists).
The Maroons' Rookie of the Year was Adrian Stubberfield. He finished first among all rookies for the team in scoring with 40 points in 50 games in the regular season.
Other players highlighted for the 2019-2020 season include Ryan McKim and Aleksa Babic for Defencemen of the Year. The two played most of the season together and lead the team's "young group of defensemen".
The team's Leading Scorer was Brett Fisher who was the most consistent scorer with 20 goals and 37 assists in all 50 games. Fisher was also acknowledged for the Leadership, Sportsmanship, and Skill award.
The Ironman award went to Cam Symons for his desire and determination throughout the season.
Lastly, the Dedication and Leadership award went to Lucas Fancy who encouraged other players to perform their best and led by example by hard he practiced.
