Police Seeking Witness In Sexual Assault

Police are now looking for a witness of a sexual assault that occurred in downtown London.

The London Police Service has released photos of a possible witness who was in the immediate area at the time of the sexual assault on Richmond St. near York St.

Police say on Tuesday around 9:10pm, a woman was walking under the railway underpass when she was grabbed from behind. The victim reported being touched in a sexual manner by a man. She was able to fight off the assault and the suspect took off heading west. The woman was not harmed in the attack.

The witness of the assault was last seen wearing a black or navy coat that extends below the waist, a white hooded sweatshirt with the hood up, light coloured blue jeans and running shoes. He or she was wearing black gloves or mittens, and had a black book bag style tote that was slung over their left shoulder and hung on their right hip.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 28-32 years old, 5’11” to 6’1”, with a stocky build. He is bald or had very short, light coloured hair, and poor dental hygiene. He was wearing a baggy, zip-up style Ecko sweater with the hood up over his head, grey baggy sweatpants and white running shoes.
