City officials are gathering public feedback for London's 2015 budget.
The Build A Budget sessions run Wednesday and Saturday at Goodwill Industries on Horton St. E.
The sessions offer Londoners a chance to meet with city staff to talk about where tax dollars go and how certain programs are funded.
"It's not only how that money comes in, but how we spend that money and what percentage of that money goes to what types of services," says Finance and Corporate Services Manager for the City of London Jon-Paul McGonigle. "Last year we had about 100 participants in each of our sessions and we hope that's 100 people who get to walk away and talk a little more positively about government finances."
The 2015 draft budget proposes a 2.9% tax increase, or an extra $72 a year for the average household in London.
However, that number does not take into account any increase for police wages. Officers in London are set to negotiate a new contract this year.
