UPDATE: Deaths Ruled Murder-Suicide

London police have ruled two deaths as a murder-suicide after the bodies of a man and a woman were discovered in separate locations in Old South.

Police say they were called to an apartment at 71 Grand Ave. around 5:30pm Friday to check on the welfare of the occupants. When they arrived, they found the body of an adult woman. The investigation then led them to an auto repair shop at 201 High St. at at 8:44pm, where officers found the body of an adult man.

Police say the man and woman were known to each other.

At the request of the family, police have not released the names of the man and woman at this time.

The deaths were deemed a murder-suicide following autopsies, which were completed over the weekend.

Officers have since released both scenes, but the investigation is still ongoing.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
