The company has said it is looking for people able to work 40 hours a week on all shifts, with basic computer skills and proof of high school education or the equivalent. The hirings come as the company works to complete a $51.5-million, 9,000 sq ft expansion that will boost its production capabilities. The London facility manufactures frozen treats such as Haagen-Dazs, Parlour, and Drumstick ice cream cones for distribution across Canada.

During peak season, the plant currently employs roughly 750 people.

Those interested in applying to work at Nestlé Canada can attend a job fair being held at the Hellenic Community Centre at 133 Southdale Rd. W from 10am to 4pm June 21.
