The Middlesex County Agricultural Hall of Fame has announced it's 2020 Hall of Fame inductees.
This year marks the 21st induction ceremony. William F. (Bill) Bradish, J. Russel & Ruth Simpson and Laurie Stanton will be honoured during the London Farm Show next month.
The Agricultural Hall of Fame recognizes people who have demonstrated unselfish achievements within Middlesex and surrounding counties.
Bradish is being acknowledged for the influence he's had in the area, and the support he gave to families and farms near and far. Bradish is known as a well-respected cattle drover, he helped develop the export market for dairy cattle, and strengthened herds in Quebec, the US, Mexico, Cuba and the United Kingdom.
This nomination will celebrate Russel and Simpson's character, philosophy, innovative attitude, and involvement in numerous agricultural organizations. Russel is a founding member of the Southwestern Ontario Oxford breeders, local 4-H clubs, and, along with Simpson, the Glencoe Fair Board.
Stanton is being recognized for his innovations in genetic development in agriculture. With the help of researchers and universities, Stanton was able to design dairy farm technology to maximize efficiencies and minimize environmental impact.
Portraits of the individuals will be displayed with the other inductees in the lobby of the Western Fair Agriplex.
The ceremony will be held in the Carousel Room at the Western Fair District on Wednesday March 4, 2020, at 11:30 a.m.
