Update: Environment Canada has ended the snow squall warning for London and Middlesex County.

Another blast of winter weather appears to be on the way for the London region.
Environment Canada upgraded a snow squall watch to a warning for parts of southwestern Ontario, including London-Middlesex early Friday morning. Between 10 to 20 cm of snow could fall across the region by Saturday morning. Up to 25 cm is possible in areas that experience persistent snow squalls, according to the national weather agency.
The shift from rain Thursday to the white stuff on Friday comes as cold air floods the region, ending two days of mild temperatures.
Strong northwesterly winds will combine with the expected heavy snow, reducing visibility at times. Drivers are advised to adjust their speed accordingly as travel may become hazardous.
Oxford and Elgin counties will also see some accumulation Friday. Environment Canada has issued a winter weather travel advisory for those two counties. Five to 10 cm is expected to fall by the evening. At around 9:30 p.m. Friday, the weather agency ended the advisory for Elgin County.
The snow squalls and flurries are expected to taper off by Saturday morning.
