Fundraiser for family of hit and run victim surpasses $10,000

A grieving family is getting help from the community in the wake of a devastating hit and run crash.

According to a GoFundMe set up in his honour, Thou Roeun was the man killed near the intersection of Adelaide and Nelson on Saturday night.

The man's niece wrote, "Hi, my name is Tayla. Last night at 9:30 my uncle, a brother, a cousin, a friend, and most importantly a dad of 3 young girls got killed in a hit and run. He left behind 7 sisters, a bunch of close cousins and friends, nephews and nieces, and 3 young daughters. The point of this fundraiser is to raise money for these 3 girls to raise for any school funds and help with the funeral and any other expenses. Please… Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thankyou."
