West Grey Launches Action Plan 2020

The mayor and Council of West Grey say they are determined to improve life in the community despite a modest tax base and declining provincial revenue.

Council wants to hear from the community as it develops the West Grey Action Plan 2020.

Mayor Kevin Eccles says the last council set out a number of objectives to help grow the economy, protect the environment, and promote health lifestyles.

Eccles says the new council wants to build on that by coming up with a plan of action.

Council has hired Winegard consulting to help.

The West Grey Website will outline the process to develop the plan, and update people on the progress.

Eccles says the muncipality has 102 bridges, 750 km of roads, and over two dozen municipal buildings, of various ages and states of repair.

Eccles says there are fantastic volunteers, farms, businesses, budding entrepreneurs and active retirees who need support.
