2015 Outstanding Citizens to be Honoured January 6th

Huron Bruce MPP Lisa Thompson will honour 13 people with the 2015 Outstanding Citizen Award.

The awards will be handed out during a New Year's Levee at the Teeswater Town Hall starting at 7pm on Wednesday, January 6th, 2016.

Thompson says she heard nothing but praise for the remarkable men and women nominated, and she looks forward to celebrating with them.

Teeswater resident Jean Culliton will be recognized for helping many people in need, and for her involvement in organizations such as the Teeswater Agricultural Society.

Former Teeswater resident Dian Lieber is being honoured for her involvement in many local organizations, including the Teeswater and Mildmay Sacred Heart Churches.

Other winners are Bob Kellington of Brussels, Cathy Pennington of Kincardine, Donald Farrell of Ripley, Dr. Chandra Tripathi of Kincardine , James Rice of Tiverton, Jennie Rowe of Exeter, Roger Lewington of Bayfield, Vicky Culbert of Goderich, Clarence Kieffer Jr. of Walkerton, Jeff Roberts of Walkerton and Heather Frook of Brockton.

The event is free and open to the public, with a January 13th snow date.

"Hearing about the acts of kindness performed by these citizens and their fellow nominees has been heart-warming. So many people from across the riding reached out during the nomination process with nothing but praise for these remarkable men and women. I look forward to celebrating with them and their friends and family in January," said Thompson.
