Multiple Listowel Arrests Unearth Crime Spree

Perth OPP, upon locating a stolen Ford F-150 pick-up truck on the evening of Sunday, June 12th, uncovered a crime spree involving three individuals.

The F-150 was reported stolen a short time before, and OPP officers observed a suspicious male in the vicinity of the truck. The arrest of the suspicious male around 7 pm led to the arrest of two other individuals. Eight highway tractors had windows smashed to gain entry into the trucks.

Evidence gathered from the trucks linked the three male suspects to the crimes. As a result, 21-year-old Brandon Bothma, and 19-year-old Cooghan Whitton, both Municipality of North Perth residents, have been charged with the following:

Mischief over $5,000

The third male, a 17-year-old youth, has been charged with the following:

Mischief over $5,000

The two adult males will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Listowel on July 27th, while the youth male will appear on the same date in the Youth Justice Court in Listowel to answer to the charges.
