Reward Offered In Durham Man's 1985 Disappearance

The disappearance of a Durham man more than 30 years ago is back in the news.

The Ontario government is offered a reward of $50,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the disappearance of Neil McDougall.

McDougall, who was 40 years old, was last seen leaving a residence in the village of Ayton around 2am on October 12, 1985. He was reporting missing by family members two days later.

His vehicle was located near the Ayton location where he was last seen. The circumstances surrounding his disappearance lead police to believe that foul play was involved.

Investigators from the West Grey Police Service, Grey County OPP and the OPP West Region Support Team continue the investigation, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch.

Anyone with information regarding the person or persons responsible for the disappearance of Neil McDougall can contact the Ontario Provincial Police at 1-888-310-1122 or the nearest police service.
