The Saugeen Shores Winterhawks finalized their roster for the 2016/17 season.
The team made the announcement in a news release this week.
It's the Winterhawks 10th season with the WOAA Senior Hockey league. Greg Thede and Brent MacDermid have been with the Winterhawks since the beginning and will be returning again this year.
Thede is the only captain the Winterhawks have known and has guided the franchise to four championships.
MacDermid has scored 150 goals and 290 points with the Winterhawks, more than other other player in the teams history.
Nine forwards are returning to play this year: Curtis Johnston, Trent Hawke, Andy Mitchell, Andy Fracz, Blake Underwood, Alex Penner, Chris King, Justin Ainslie and Jay Thomson.
There are five new faces playing on the Winterhawks front lines this season: Michael Johnstone, Alex Kuntz, Shelby Simmons, James McHaig and Justin Mathias.
The clubs defense will consist of Thede, Nick Quaid, Trevor Smith, Brendon Haefling, Brett Brophy and Mike Smailes. Adam Little is the only newcomer on the blue line this season.
In the crease, Blake Sinclair is back and will be joined by three new faces: Jeff Flagler, Richard Harris and Matt Tutin.
The Winterhawks open the season October 14 at home to the Petrolia Squires.
