Bluewater Council Taking Wait And See Approach On Government Services Review

Bluewater council is one of a couple of municipal councils in Huron that has not heard a presentation from the Economic Development Board for its proposal for a review of government services.

Mayor Tyler Hessel says his council's position is they've heard what the board is proposing and the RFP has already been adjusted to reflect some of the concerns of other municipal councils.

“We're interested to see what research they'll come forward and then we'll look at that and have discussion there," says Hessel. "At this point though we think the Economic Development Board has looked at a lot of different options, they've down-sized the RFP philosophy to what was originally presented to Huron County and we'll see what comes out of it.”

He says at this point, Bluewater council is willing to take a wait and see position on the final report that comes back to county council.
