Residents can comment on proposed internet code

The CRTC is looking for input as it considers the creation of a mandatory code of conduct for Internet service providers.

That's in response to increasing complaints about internet services. The Internet Code would establish consumer-friendly business practices, ensure contracts are easy-to-understand and make it easier for Canadians to switch providers to take advantage of competitive offers.

Canadians have until December 19, 2018, to submit their comments either online, writing to the Secretary General, CRTC, Ottawa, Ontario K1A ON2, or sending a fax to (819) 994-0218.

This proceeding is distinct from the ongoing inquiry on misleading or aggressive sales practices, which will culminate with the presentation of a report to the government
