Listowel BIA excited about a returning contest

Listowel's BIA Coordinator says people are passionate about their community, whether it be about building a business or a home.

Lisa Schaefer said two years ago, their "Win This Space" contest was a big success and it's coming back this year.

The details of the competition will officially be released March 4 and that's when applications will start to be accepted.

Shaefer said while there is space, there has also been growth.

"We had another record year of building permits and it's had a positive impact on the business community. In 2018 when we did this, we had one winner but we had many new businesses open at that time," said Schaefer.

The contest is being supported in part by a Libro Prosperity Fund Grant the Listowel BIA received last year.
