The province is injecting money into arts, culture and tourism in Grey County to help the region survive the pandemic shutdown.
Minister of Heritage, Sport, Tourism and Culture Lisa MacLeod was near Owen Sound on Thursday to announce $400,000 would go to the sector.
MacLeod said arts and tourism have been hit hard by the COVID-19 shutdown and the money will help them survive and bounce back.
"I think it's important to support them and make sure that 18 months from now when hopefully the pandemic is long gone these cultural institutions, these art institutions, these community organizations will not only have survived but will be in a position to thrive," said MacLeod.
Among the organizations benefiting from the funding are Grey Roots Museum and Archives, the Owen Sound and North Grey Union Library and the Symphony in the Barn near Durham.
