Huron OPP investigating recent stolen debit card

Huron County OPP is seeking some assistance from the public to identify a person of interest involved in a recent stolen debit card and some unauthorized transactions.

A victim from Exeter reported she was shopping for groceries on December 23rd, and when she proceeded to check out she noticed she had dropped her debit card somewhere in the store. Upon notifying her bank that her card was lost she was alerted to two unauthorized transactions that were made on her card prior to it being cancelled.

The first transaction was for $94 in alcohol from the Exeter LCBO and the second was for $50 in gasoline.

The person of interest is described as a female possibly in her mid to late forties, long hair in a low ponytail with bangs, wearing a black mask, grey track pants and a black mid-length coat with a fur hood. Police say she was possibly driving a white Ford Fusion or a black Ford Ranger with a canopy.

If you can identify this person of interest or have any other helpful information about this investigation please contact Huron OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or (519) 482-1677.
