Main entrance to Kincardine hospital to be relocated while preparations begin for CT scanner

The main entrance to the Kincardine Hospital will be temporarily relocated as the hospital begins planning for a new addition.

Starting February 2nd, the main hospital entrance in Kincardine will be relocated as construction begins to prepare for the arrival of a new CT scanner later this year. The project will reinforce the main entrance with structural walls and columns, which is estimated to take roughly 4 months. Construction of the addition for the CT scanner suite will begin later this year, as well,  and will be located against the east wall of the south wing of the existing hospital building, adjacent to the hospital main entrance.

Beginning February 2nd, the main hospital entrance in Kincardine will be moved to the west side of the hospital. A temporary screening station and a Patient Registration office have been established inside the temporary entrance, and a patient drop-off zone with five reserved parking spots for persons with limited mobility will be available.
