Nine partnering municipalities along with the Huron and Perth United Way have launched the second phase of their community engagement consultations for the development of the Community Safety and Well-Being plan.
These municipalities include the Town of Goderich, Township of Howick, Municipality of South Huron, Municipality of Bluewater, Municipality of Central Huron, Municipality of Huron East, Township of North Huron, Municipality of Morris-Turnberry, and Township of Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh.
"It is great to see this initiative take the next step forward," said South Huron Deputy Mayor Jim Dietrich. "I would encourage those under the age of 30 who live in Huron County who have an interest in contributing to better outcomes in communities across Huron County to participate in the upcoming public consultations."
The partner municipalities plan to engage residents 30-and-under during this stage of the development process through a series of community roundtables until the end of the month, along with stakeholder interviews and small group discussions.
In a release, they say the sessions will focus on issues of community safety and well-being across Huron County, and gather ideas about how communities can work collaboratively to create the kind of safe, healthy places residents want to live in.

Community roundtables will be held on April 19 (2:00pm - 3:30 pm), April 21 (6:00pm - 7:30pm), and April 22 (12:00pm - 1:30pm).
