Tech network connects Grey Bruce Entrepreneurs with tech professionals

Catapult Grey Bruce announced a new tech network to connect entrepreneurs and technology professionals.

Formerly known as the Grey Bruce Tech Network, the newly branded and re-structured Catapult Tech Network (CTN) will operate across Grey and Bruce Counties.

It will provide networking and education centred on technology relevant to the needs of local entrepreneurs and professionals.

The network was identified as an opportunity by local entrepreneurs and business leaders and compliments Catapult’s existing entrepreneurial focused programming.

“By providing a more formal way for tech founders, independent consultants and service providers to connect with one another, the tech network will deliver the means for entrepreneurs and local businesses to meet and learn from each other,” said Jennifer Christie, Catapult Grey Bruce, executive director.

Catapult officially opened “The Crashpad'' this month, which is a coworking space located in the Sydenham Campus Regional Skills Training, Trades and Innovation Centre in Owen Sound. The Crashpad is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 AM - 4 PM and will be free for entrepreneurs to access in December.

Starting in the new year, coworking memberships will be available to purchase and the CTN will host meet-ups and pilot some innovative, cross-sector projects. Organizations interested in partnering or individuals interested in joining the network can learn more by visiting www.catapultgreybruce.com/tech-network.

Catapult Grey Bruce and The Crashpad are funded in part by the Government of Canada through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario. Additional support is provided by Grey County and private sector sponsors and donors.
