A Ribbon Cutting Officially opened Westinghouse Canada's Port Elgin office space Thursday. The office has ten fulltime employees, with room for over 20 workers.
Westinghouse will manage Bruce Power drawdown contracts, onsite presence and logistics, and will be the project management office to support all Bruce Power contracts.

“It’s exciting to see another clean energy sector supplier land in the Clean Energy Frontier region of Bruce, Grey and Huron counties,” said Bruce Wallace, President and CEO of the Nuclear Innovation Institute (NII). “The Westinghouse decision underscores that the nuclear industry is a major economic driver for Ontario. And these investments in nuclear not only contribute to strengthening an emissions-free electricity grid but also create jobs and greater spending right here in our region.”
The Clean Energy Frontier program at NII is funded by Bruce County and Bruce Power and is an evolution of the Nuclear Economic Development and Innovation Initiative, which formed in 2016.
