The General Manager at the REACH Centre in Clinton said a grant of just under $47,000 from the Trillium Foundation's Community Building Fund allowed them to put together a package of unique training equipment.
The centre is an educational centre that encourages the sustainability and growth of rural Ontario, while showcasing the equine and agricultural industries.
Matt Lee says it's allowed them to continue to operate during the pandemic and it's also allowed riders of all ages to come in and use the equipment.
“They've really enjoyed the opportunity. This is some nice, high end equipment that a lot of people in Ontario have never even got the chance to use before. And a lot of them are finding it's making a big difference in their riding abilities,” said Lee.
Lee says they also host a lot of clinics and training seminars out of the REACH Centre so the new equipment just adds to what they're able to do.
“We put together a package of training equipment and it's allowing, basically, any age group, to come in here, practice, train, and it allowed us to run during some of the COVID restrictions, when there was limited numbers allowed in facilities.”
