No watches or warnings but blustery weather making the drive a hazardous one

All roads are now open but it is still a snowy drive Monday morning.

Highway 21 reopened late Sunday night.

Bruce County Roads Department is reporting variable road conditions with bare and dry to partly to mostly snow covered sections. Visibility is good but there is some blowing snow and moderate drifting this morning. One caller to CKNX said some roads are so snow packed it's like driving on gravel despite the road being paved.

Roads on the peninsula are partly to mostly snow covered where a special weather statement is in effect, cautioning residents of continuing high winds with gusts over 80 km/h.

The Ministry of Transportation is reporting mostly snow covered roads north of Highway 8 but roads are mainly clear in southern areas of Huron and Perth Counties.

Northern Grey County is still seeing snow covered roads and some drifting.

Everyone is being reminded to clear snow from around the furnace and other gas or oil appliance vents.
