The Municipality of South Bruce has updated its decade-old zoning by-law to bring it in line with local and county goals, as well as present it in a more user-friendly format.
Council passed the new comprehensive zoning by-law on Tuesday, but residents will have until the end of the month to appeal to the Ontario Land Tribunal if they don't agree with it.
Some of the changes in the new by-law include permissions for up to two additional residential units in fully serviced areas, allowing for short-term accommodation uses in zones where a dwelling is permitted, and requiring EV and bicycle parking spaces in large-scale residential developments.
The zoning by-law will be applicable to all lands within the Municipality.
Info on the comprehensive zoning by-law is available from Monday to Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at the Municipal Office in Teeswater. You can also get it by emailing the Chief Building Official.
Anyone wishing to appeal the decision is required to submit a Notice of Appeal to the Tribunal by April 30.
