The Grey Bruce OPP said they are welcoming two new members to their team - and one has four legs.
Siebe is a three year old Belgian Malinois and Dutch Shepherd mix. He and his handler, Provincial Constable Dean Ferris, are joining Grey-Bruce's canine unit.
Constable Ferris has been with the OPP for five years. He served as a frontline officer before he became a canine handler.
Siebe is able to track lost, missing or wanted persons. He can also perform article and evidence searches.
The OPP said Siebe and Ferris can be dispatched outside Grey-Bruce. The pair will be responding to service calls across the OPP's West Region patrol area.
The OPP said calendars with photos of the OPP Canine Unit can be purchased online. Proceeds go to the OPP Youth Foundation and the Friends of the OPP Museum.
