Kincardine Scouts running bottle drive and tree pickup fundraiser

The second Kincardine Scouts are once again running two fundraisers this week to help clean up from your holiday festivities.

The first is a bottle drive. Pickups can be scheduled for Kincardine residents on December 30, January 2nd and 3rd. On January 4th, youth and leaders will also be going house to house in several neighborhoods collecting empty bottles.

Drop offs are also available at three locations, two in Kincardine and one in Tiverton. Locations can be found on the Scouts Facebook page.

The second fundraiser is a Christmas Tree compost program that will take place next on January 4.

Scouts and scout leaders will pickup all natural trees from Kincardine area homes for a minimum $20 donation.

The trees will then be taken to the Bervie Zoo for the animals for food or scratching posts. Once the zoo can no longer accept trees, the remainder will go to the Kincardine landfill.

Pickups can be scheduled by filling out the online form.

All funds will be going towards youth activities, equipment, and camping trips.
