Clifford Connects Carnival enjoys record crowds

The recent Clifford Connects Carnival had a very big turnout.

A media release from the Town of Minto shares that the annual event, held on July 12 this year, drew in record crowds to downtown Clifford.

This year's event featured a car show, a magician performance, face painting, balloons and a vendor market.

There was also a very popular community dog grooming show and performance. Many volunteers made the event possible, and town staff also helped with behind-the-scenes support. Downtown businesses also helped by having sidewalk sales and other special offers.

Attendees also enjoyed the dunk tank, which included dunking special guests like John Nater, MP for Perth-Wellington, Town of Minto Mayor Dave Turton, local councillors, firefighters, library staff and Clifford Connects team members.

"This kind of event truly doesn’t happen without a village, and Clifford, you absolutely showed up," shared Erin Raftis, spokesperson for Clifford Connects. "Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this year's Carnival Celebration our biggest and best yet. We can’t wait to do it all again next year!"
