Bruce Power pledges $150,000 to 2026 IPM

Bruce Power has committed $150,000 as a lead sponsor for the 2026 International Plowing Match and Rural Expo in Bruce County, set for September 22–26.

IPM Chair Gord Lang said the Organizing Committee is grateful for this leadership pledge. "This is a symbolic message from a significant local business that is investing in agriculture, rural living and our community" Lang said. "Thank you Bruce Power for all you do!"

Sponsorship Chair Josh Bester encouraged local businesses to get involved, noting, "This is a great way to officially launch our sponsorship program, and to reach out asap to ensure they can capture their preferred opportunity," he said.

Bruce Power COO James Scongack added "we are very honoured to offer additional funding when the plowing match is right here in Bruce County. We want to show our support for a program that will provide educational opportunities and a glimpse into how farming and rural life positively impacts our community and province."

Organizers say planning continues through harvest season, with more details to be shared via local media and social media as the event approaches.
