Owen Sound invites public input on new communications strategy

The City of Owen Sound is developing its first External Communications Strategy to improve how it shares information and connects with residents.

As presented to the Corporate Services Committee on October 9, the strategy will ensure residents receive clear, consistent, and timely updates and know how to reach City staff or Council with questions or concerns.

“Fostering mutually beneficial and respectful relationships is a core strategic priority for the City of Owen Sound — and that starts with learning and communication,” the City said in a media release.

To help shape the plan, residents are being asked to share their feedback through a short online survey, available at OurCity.OwenSound.ca until November 12. Paper copies are also available at City Hall or by request for those who prefer offline options.

The feedback gathered will help guide the development of the External Communications Strategy, which is expected to be presented to City Council in early 2026.
