The Avon Maitland District School Board (AMDSB) wants to hear from parents about their experience interacting with their child's school.
Parents or caregivers are asked to complete an online survey to provide feedback about their child’s school.
The information will help the board ensure school climates are safe, inclusive, and accepting for all students, families and the broader community.
The voluntary survey has four sections. The first focuses on the school experience, such as a sense of belonging, learning engagement and relationships. The next set of questions delve into the school and learning environment, representation and inclusion. The school safety section looks into the bullying, discrimination, or harassment. And the final set of questions will discuss well-being, social and emotional feelings.
The survey is completely anonymous.
“The results from this survey will support school and board teams to better understand concerns, to build strategies and ultimately to seek to improve the school climate," said Jane Morris, Superintendent of Education. "We know that a positive school climate enables students to be more successful. We value the voices of our parents and caregivers and appreciate the time that each of them will take to provide this important feedback”.
The survey can be found by clicking here and the deadline to complete is Friday, December 12, 2025 at 4pm.
